Oof! Right in the Childhood

Each week, on Monday, I tell you the history behind how one of the Disney full length animated films was made and then watch it for the first time and provide a synopsis with commentary on how that movie measures up to modern social attitudes. On Thursdays, when available, I talk to guests who loved that movie as a kid and discuss their memories about it. Sometimes, we talk about themes from the movie and go in depth into those.

We are looking for the following guests to be on our podcast:

Guests who want to talk about Disney Movies and their experience watching them for the first time since childhood. Especially interested if you have a topic that can be discussed in relationship to that movie (i.e. Coping with Trauma in Dumbo).

During the exploratory phase, there will be a plethora of interviews / conversations with intellectuals placed on this channel -- approximately un-edited. My previous documentary is imminent is on the topic of "when does the left go too far?" (other tangential tendrils are related to Evolutionary Biology / Parapsychology / Neuropsychology / Cognitive Science / Psychedelics / Evil / Good -- an eclectic mix, I'm aware) If you'd like to support this endeavor then please visit the Patreon. Thank you for your charitable and kindhearted support. - Curt Jaimungal

Russell Barnard

The “story” format seems to be appearing everywhere now hint hint Instagram, Facebook Messenger & of course Snapchat.

What is it that makes the format work so well?

Connection — Most stories are filmed with the front facing camera creating a personal 1-on-1 feel between the creator and the viewer.

Vertical — First off I love the vertical angle for a number of reasons but it just feels right, in terms of stories it works wonders and changes the way the story is told resulting in this unique media.

Ordering — As stories are shown from the oldest to newest clip you get to watch moments unfold which is a big change from algorithmic/time based feeds like Twitter which chop up messages designed to be consumed in ascending order.

It seems like more and more people are creating stories with value — however the content itself is different for each creator, but which style is the most engaging?

The aim of this podcast is to find an answer to this question!

We are looking for the following guests to be on our podcast:

I am looking for guests who have had success in using Instagram or Snapchat stories and looking to give tips on how they got more viewers and engagement.
