About Daylight

Mental health is talked about now more than ever before, but we still have a long way to go. People have forgotten how to be empathetic to those struggling with mental health. I'm here to make sure that no one forgets, help me shine a light and keep these conversations in the daylight. My name is Dee and I've struggled with my mental health my whole life. I'm here to tell you that there is hope. You can fight your way back into the daylight and out of the depths of pain. This is my hope for daylight. Let's move forward. Together. I'll have guests share their stories of their own mental health journeys, giving them a platform to help others by sharing their own experiences. We'll bring comfort to those going through similar struggles and help the people who love them understand more deeply and empathetically. What they are going through and how to help. Just as importantly, we'll provide resources for those who are struggling. But don't forget, we're also gonna have a lot of fun. While this is a heavy topic, it doesn't mean we can't have moments of levity and laughter. I have found that these glimmers of joy keep us going in our darkest days. This podcast includes frank conversations about suicide and mental health. If you or someone you know is experiencing suicidal thoughts or a crisis, please reach out immediately to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255, or dial 988.
