About Ian Kristofer

Ian Kristofer is a normal guy and man of unique spiritual gifting to exhort others to action and obedience to their calling in Christ and creating disciples who make disciples. Born and raised in Southern California. Ian found his world turned upside down when his parents moved the family from Riverside, California to a cold, and very small town in Alaska. It was here in Alaska that Ian experienced two personal encounters with the living God, and a call to missions that would change the course of his life. It would be 20 years before that call would come to fruition. Ian went to college in Phoenix, Arizona chasing after a dream of playing baseball. In Phoenix he would meet his wife and begin a family and ministries in local churches. During those essential 20 years of waiting to be sent out Ian’s spiritual growth included, hearing the voice of God, signs and wonders, prayer, dreams and visions, and seeking the greater things Jesus talked about with His disciples. Writing worship songs and leading worship became an on-going gifting and passion for the next 2 decades. In 2014 the call into a life of missions began to take sharp focus. That focus was on Africa. God was calling Ian and his family to the beautiful and challenging land of Africa. This is the reason that Ian and his wife Carla founded the Compelled Ones Mission. Compelled Ones is a team of missionaries focused on reaching the oral-only un-reached communities in Mozambique through health care, education, community development, and making disciples that make disciples. Ian, Carla and their three sons currently reside and serve the people of a small village in Mozambique. From early 2015 to the present day, they are witnessing and part of a rapid growth of disciple-making disciples in the central and Northern regions. Now with eight years of missionary service in Mozambique behind him, Ian has taken the journals of his experiences with the oral-only communities of the Yawo, and placed them into a memoir and practical guide-book to inspire others to hear from God, obey, and follow Jesus’ example of love and discipleship. Their dream is to see the Great Commission completed in their lifetime.
