About Nate James

Nathanael Elmshaeuser, known professionally by his stage name Nate James, is an independent American Hip-Hop artist, singer, writer, and speaker. Beginning his career in 2020, James started off with a bang with his debut self-titled EP, which saw immediate success. After releasing several more singles, James experienced continued success with the release of his first album "Outlaw," which got over 30,000 streams across over a hundred countries. Since then, more singles have been released, with hits such as "Plastic Smile" becoming instant fan favorites. On New Years of 2023, James released his new album "No Man's Land," which has already received praise from multiple influential names in the industry, and his name continues to gain more recognition.
Born November 30, 2002, James spent much of his childhood in Southern California, moving to Colorado at age 9. James experienced domestic abuse from his father, which has since become fuel for his lyricism as he addresses mental health and its effect on young people. Because of his life experiences, James feels a need to be a voice of overcoming and hope for all those going through the same things he did.
Nate James exists to be an outlaw in the industry, never bowing to any norms being set by those currently in control. His lyricism is bold and unafraid, and he has no plans to stop.
