About Pamela Gwyn Kripke

Pamela Gwyn Kripkeā€™s essays, news and feature stories have appeared in many publications, including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Huffington Post, Slate, Salon, Medium, New York Magazine, Elle and numerous other magazines and newspapers. She is the author of the literary novel, At the Seams (Open Books, 2023), a generational tale of secrets, loyalty, mothers and daughters, inspired by a true medical mystery involving her own family. Pamela's short stories have been published or are forthcoming in Folio, The Concrete Desert Review, The Barcelona Review, Brilliant Flash Fiction, The MacGuffin, Book of Matches, Meet Me At 19th, The Woven Tale Press, West Trade Review, Round Table Literary Journal and Doubleback Review, and she is at work on a collection to be published in 2024.

A reporter for many years, in New York, Dallas, Chicago and Boston, Pamela has covered everything from the Dixie Mafia to public education to fashion and design, and can speak to all. She holds an AB in English from Brown University and an MS from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and has been selected to attend the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop. Pamela has taught journalism at DePaul University and Columbia College in Chicago.

She has two daughters and lives near Philadelphia, PA.
