About Alexandria Fanjoy Silver

Dr. Alexandria Fanjoy Silver has a dual Masters from Brandeis, a PhD from the University of Toronto in Education and History, teaches Jewish history full-time, and obsessively buys and reviews books in whatever spare time she has between studying, teaching, travelling and feeding her husband and three children.

She's writing a book right now called "Betayavon: Jewish History Made Gastronomic, Irreverent and Undeniably Delicious," a witty and culinarily-inspired take on a rather depressing history.

She's a convert to Judaism, blogs for the Times of Israel, and generally talks all things Jewish, history and food at all times.
