About birgitte nerlov

I grew up as the girl who took care of everyone else. A lifelong caregiver, a quiet observer, and someone who learned early to be strong, capable, and responsible — long before I ever learned to be those things for myself. My journey has taken me through childhood bullying, years of self‑doubt, and later a toxic adult relationship that nearly broke me. But it also led me to the moment where everything changed: the moment I chose myself. That decision became the turning point where I began rebuilding my confidence, reconnecting with my inner strength, and stepping into the woman I was always meant to be. Today, that journey is the foundation of everything I do. I am the founder of Women of the World, created to help women who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves reclaim their confidence, set healthy boundaries, and lead their own lives with clarity and courage. My work is rooted in lived experience — years as a nurse, hosting women in need, supporting people through crises, and studying personal growth and coaching. I’ve seen what happens when women lose themselves… and I’ve seen what happens when they rise again. I am also a co‑author of the international bestseller **UNSHAKEABLE – Stories of Strength and Wisdom for Young Adults**. In my chapter, I share my own transformation — not as a dramatic tale, but as a reminder that strength isn’t something we suddenly gain. It’s something we’ve carried all along, even when we forget it. What drives me today is simple: I want women to feel seen, supported, and capable of choosing themselves — not someday, not when life forces them to, but now. I care deeply about helping women reconnect with their inner voice and the parts of themselves they’ve silenced to survive. I work with women who are ready to stop being everything for everyone else and start becoming the leaders of their own lives. My mission is not to fix women — because they are not broken. My mission is to help them remember who they are.
