About Pauline Tait

My necessity to write has emerged alongside a profound passion to engage and inspire our younger generations to become great readers. I feel strongly that our children are our future, and reading is the fundamental basis of their learning. If focus and encouragement are given during their early years, then the building blocks, which are the foundation to the rest of their learning, are in place. Giving every child the chance to flourish and excel.

Years of experience in working with and assessing children from Primaries one to seven, who needed extra-curricular support, then creating and delivering individual learning plans to meet their specific needs, has only fuelled this passion and has influenced both the writing and the production processes of my picture books. The covers are tactile, while care is given to the internal layouts to ensure they engage and inspire.

My author business has expanded, I am an award-winning children's author, romantic suspense novelist, writing mentor for children's authors and Editorial Manager of Writers' Narrative.

I also combine my knowledge of primary literacy with my knowledge of the publishing world to mentor children's authors. My signature six-week course, Writing Children's Picture Books - From Concept to Publications, takes authors from draft manuscript to publication and beyond.

I'm also the voice behind Reluctant Readers, a weekly newsletter that goes out via Beehiiv to parents and carers of reluctant readers.
