My name is Donna Arkee, and I'm a Bay Area based educator, freelance writer, comedian, and live comedy talk show host. Iranian against my will and good judgement, I truly enjoy a cup of hot chai with a side of hot gossip. If that wasn’t already a lot to deal with, I'm also non-binary and a lesbian. Despite having a Master's in Women and Gender Studies and two bachelor's degrees in Anthropology and Ethnic Studies, I perpetually work retail and service jobs and can personally assure you that baristas do not care about what you order. I've done it all, from accidentally interning for an international art thief who stole the crown jewels of Bhutan, to
performing stand up comedy for Sister Spit, to having academic articles published in American Quarterly, to licking a Gutenberg Bible. I am clearly a menace to society and need to be stopped.
