About Dale Witherington

Born into a family of broken marriages, alcoholism, sexual addictions, threats of murder and ties to organized crime, Dale Witherington sought to break out of the cycle and find his identity in sports and music. Along the way, he met the man who would transform his life forever -- Jesus Christ. This led him on a 30-year journey to find success, significance and contentment that all came crashing down in 2004 at age 50. That began a 10-year "wandering in the wilderness" until, in a significant moment of time while doing the normal work of his ministry, God showed up in a most unusual way. It was this event in 2013 that launched a ministry that is one small and very satisfying piece in the puzzle called Biblical Citizenship, a movement shaking America and beyond. It is Pastor Dale's strong conviction that many Christians are overly educated (he calls it "Education Constipation") and they are not living out their lives of purpose and calling. For him, Biblical Citizenship is all about finding God's calling on one's life and becoming equipped to live it out. It is Applied Discipleship.
As the Chief Steward of Restore Minnesota, Pastor Dale serves as a missionary, pastor and Bible Study leader to the elected officials, their families and staff at the State Capitol in St. Paul, MN. He also serves as an educator to the church regarding the church's role in government and to Minnesota’s BPOU’s to support the Constitutional collaboration between the government and the church. Dale and his team are planting Community Action Teams (CATs) and launching Institutes for Biblical Citizenship in every county in Minnesota (and beyond as the Lord opens those doors) assisting the body of Christ in understanding its role as a maker of disciples who are engaged biblical citizens.

Dale and his wife, Sue, have been married since December 1975. They have raised 3 sons and one daughter, who have blessed them with 7 awesome grandchildren. They reside in Minnesota near the Twin Cities metro area. As a former collegiate baseball and football player, as well as a rock 'n roll drummer, he still loves sports and music!
