About Rohan Sharma

My name is Rohan Sharma, and I am a professional speaker and suicide attempt survivor from the suburbs of Philadelphia. I began public speaking subsequent to serving a 23-month jail sentence after pleading guilty to an armed robbery that took place in the fall of 2011. Before this, I was a medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. However, due to the fact that my Bipolar Disorder was misdiagnosed, I was given the wrong medication which in turn induced a psychotic episode that left me incarcerated in the Philadelphia prison system.

Since then, I have not only been able to piece my life together but have also discovered my passion for public speaking. I have shared my story at UPenn, NAMICon, and Temple University, among other schools and conferences. While in jail, I also learned to express myself through poetry and rap, and I now create music under the artist name "Rx Mundi". My songs have reached over 50,000 streams worldwide, and you can listen to my latest music at www.rxmundi.com, as well as all major streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc).
