About Dantiel Daniels

Tiel Daniels is a former Division I and international professional basketball player who now works in higher education career development. He currently serves as an Associate Director in Career and Professional Development at Tulane University. His background also includes college basketball coaching, basketball operations, student-athlete development, teaching, and athletic administration. Tiel is the founder of Daniels Consulting, where he helps student-athletes prepare for career transitions, professional identity, leadership, networking, and life after sport. His work focuses on helping athletes move beyond simply naming transferable skills and learn how to communicate their experiences through clear examples that employers understand. He is currently completing an EdD in Educational Leadership. His dissertation examines how NCAA Division I student-athlete enhancement administrators implement career-readiness strategies for student-athletes. Tiel brings a combination of lived athlete experience, career-development practice, teaching, coaching, and research training to conversations about athlete transition, career readiness, leadership, identity, and life beyond competition.
