Hi, I'm Anne. Alittle about me- I am an Immigration lawyer based in NY, in my 40's, married with two kids. I started my own practice when no one would hire (and pay) me as a lawyer, even though I passed the bar in three states and had all the ambition any employer would want.. or so I thought! With very little planning, I started my small office on my own, and began focusing my practice on Immigration. Why Immigration? Well, I happened to start my practice at the beginning of the Arab Spring in 2010-2011, and I was one of the few Arabic speaking attorneys out there that could assist new refugees and asylum seekers coming to the U.S. So, I grabbed an Immigration law book and began teaching myself everything I needed to know. Slowly but surely, word got around that there was an Arabic speaking Immigration attorney who was winning cases! I opened my practice in Cleveland, OH, where my husband was working, but eventually moved back to my home in NY and started my practice all over again. So here I am, 12 years later, with two offices and a successful Immigration law practice that I can proudly say I built with my own blood, sweat and tears (many of them), all while having my two beautiful kids with my very supportive husband. I am a full-time mom, wife, lawyer and entrepreneur, and while most days I'm exhausted and want to throw in the towel, on other days, I pat myself on the back and plan for bigger and better in the coming decades.
