About Azi Jankovic

Hi there, I'm Azi - pronounced "Ozzy." This year marks thirty years since I was diagnosed with depression at age 15, beginning a saga of mental health challenges with symptoms (bipolar, depression, anxiety, ptsd) and side effects over the years. I've seen the inside of seven mental institutions, taken dozens of psych meds, and somehow managed to function well enough during my good periods to power through grad school, co-found a business, and raise four children. It hasn't been easy, but I've found sustainable wellness through methods that weren't presented to me or didn't exist three decades back.

I've been sharing my story publicly now for five years, and I hear from people who struggle with symptoms, side effects, or shame on a daily basis. My message is that there is hope, and that healing is possible. My book, Mental Health, Reclaimed: A Simple Guide to Thriving Beyond Labels or Limits, weaves the highlights of my story with actionable strategies and tools based on science and experience that readers can utilize and individualize according to their needs.

I believe that we need to become the CEO of our mental health if we are going to overcome the mental health epidemic that much of the western world is in right now - and I am here to answer any and all questions about my story and what I've learned in order to guide your listeners.
