About John Archibald

I am a PR and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience. I am also an entrepreneur who started my own digital marketing firm in 2008 called Resolution Promotions. Now in its 15th year of operation, Resolution Promotions works with a variety of small and mid-sized businesses, as well as individual brands and influencers.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2003, I began my career in pro sports. I first worked as the PR Director of the Florida Firecats, winning an Arena Football 2 Championship. I then moved to New Jersey in 2004 because of the hyperactive sports environment in the area. I spent the next three years working in pro sports ranging from football, lacrosse, soccer and everything in between, to college football and basketball at Rutgers.

I caught my first true break in 2007 when I was hired as the Director of Communications for the NJ Ironmen of the Major Indoor Soccer League, which was owned by the NJ Devils. I endured a four-hour daily commute that consisted of a 30-minute drive to the train station, an hour train ride and a 30-minute walk to my arena office each morning, with the reverse occurring every night. Exhausted on one of those train rides in 2008, I realized what I was doing was not sustainable for the long term, so I conceptualized a sports communications firm and filed the paperwork for Resolution Promotions LLC.

After the Ironmen ceased operations in 2009, Resolution Promotions then picked up Sky Blue FC as a new client, where I assumed all PR and communications responsibilities. During this time with Sky Blue FC, I worked with some of the most prominent female athletes on the planet, including two-time FIFA Player of the Year Carli Lloyd, National Soccer Hall of Famer Christie Pearce Rampone and Australian superstar Sam Kerr. I enjoyed some incredible career highlights and life experiences while working with Sky Blue FC over the next nine years, including a trip to the White House and international soccer tours to Japan and Turkey.

Resolution Promotions has experienced tremendous growth over the years, and the company works with a diverse roster of clients and brands. Resolution Promotions also works with some notable influencers, including former Rutgers Football player Eric LeGrand and former Rutgers Basketball player Geo Baker. Additionally, I have further expanded my entrepreneurial resume with ownership stakes in LeGrand Coffee House and Knight Society.
