: D.K. Mckenzie is a prolific poet, music producer, and spoken word artist. His poetry is wildly introspective, bluntly honest, and strikingly vivid. To date he's written over 1,000 poems and over one hundred spoken word music pieces.

As a podcaster, D.K. currently hosts his poetry and spoken word project called The Poe Underground which marries music to words. D.K.'s journey has been one of a "real" artist, never compromising or giving up on his dream. His mission in life is to constantly create art and to chase the elusive goal of completing the perfect piece of art.

D.K. is currently the founder of his own media company / book publishing company called Seven Muses Media. He continues to be an ambassador of poetry and produce new music. His path has been a long one from being a rebellious youth, finding spirituality, finding and losing love, and choosing a life of a real artist.
