In 2005 my father passed away of liver cancer at 59. I was 4 months pregnant, 33 years old, thought I knew everything about the world and was his caregiver. The day he died I promised myself that I no longer was just going to take up space in this world. It became apparent how short life really is. The problem was that I became stuck in grief and suppressed my feelings for 12 years resulting in anxiety, depression and PTSD. All this stopped me from fulfilling that promise I had made to myself to live better. I became obsessed with the way that my father suffered before his death.
Fast forward 12 years and I decided that I wasn't going to wait for someone to come and save me from this insanity and that I needed to start taking better care of myself and not only take care of those I loved. Hence I started my passion project "The Ukulele Project in Guatemala" my Top 20 podcast Giving Starts With You, I have written a Memoir in hopes that it will help others and am now creating digital courses. I teach people "that every day we are alive is a gift".
I have discovered why you should NOT suppress feelings when you experience grief. I have also discovered the number 1 way to help yourself move through loss, feel better about yourself and ultimately change your life to one of purpose, gratitude and fulfillment is through Giving Back. I want to end loneliness in the world and show people that no act of kindness is too small.
I want to help your audience feel better about themselves, and realize that they are important. I want them to feel seen, validated and give them the confidence to help change the world without overwhelm!
