About Mikayla Falteisek

Passionate about making mental health education accessible and engaging, I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on trauma-centered therapy, DBT, and somatic techniques.

My background includes hands-on experience as a mental health admin and scribe, content creation, and training in trauma-sensitive yoga. I provide a unique lens into mental health care as I identify as lesbian and am in a queer interracial relationship. My experiences have allowed me to have a multicultural lens on what treatment works for others.

I’m eager to collaborate with podcasts that explore psychology, mental well-being, trauma recovery, and neuroscience. Whether contributing research, sharing insights on mind-body healing, or engaging in meaningful discussions about mental health, I bring a fresh perspective rooted in both academic knowledge and real-world experience.
