Co-author of the definitive book about the movie industry, THE BUSINESS OF FILM, Paula Landry, MBA is a writer/producer, film business and media consultant, interested in disruptive business models and how the movie industry works and is changing. As a working filmmaker Landry writes and produces feature films and episodic television content, business plans, budgets and schedules, as well as branded content for Fortune 500 companies and non-profits. Landry is president of IdeaBlizzard Productions and is also the author of Scheduling and Budgeting Your Film: A Panic-Free Guide, now in its second edition and Applying Entrepreneurship to the Arts: How Artists, Creatives, and Performers Can Use Start-up Principles to Build Careers and Generate Income; as well as co-author how How to Market Your Screenplay.
She serves as a Board Member for the non-profit organization PANO Network (formerly New York City Women Filmmakers); enjoys working with other creatives and filmmakers. As a consultant Ms. Landry creates business plans, movie budgets and schedules, business plans for media, marketing and distribution strategies and has conducted financial library valuations for film, stage, literary and television properties in association with G&H Media.
Teaching across the globe and in several colleges for over a decade, Landry is frequently hired to analyze different aspects of the movie industry including how it has been transformed on various business levels, including pop culture, globalization, revenue generation models, shifting exhibition and movie theater trends, and more.
