About Erin Eileen Leigh

Erin Eileen Leigh is the author of the nonfiction parenting book Navigating the Newborn Months and Beyond: A Mother's Guide to Routine, Sleep, Fussiness and Self-Care. Erin's book was a recipient of the Mom’s Choice Awards Gold Award and was a finalist for the 2022 IAN Book of the Year Awards in the category of parenting/family/relationships. Navigating the Newborn Months and Beyond was a featured product in Moms & Babes subscription boxes in 2023. Erin's book has been featured in Bay Area Parent magazine, The Union newspaper, and Vanderbilt University Alumni magazine.

Erin was a guest on The Motherhood Metamorphosis Podcast (“Navigating Postpartum and Self-Care” - https://themotherhoodmetamorphosis.buzzsprout.com/) and the Parents Who Write Podcast (“Becoming an Author Through Journaling” - https://lifebeyondparenting.com/becoming-an-author-through-journaling-w-erin-leigh/) Erin also speaks to parent organizations about motherhood and self-care and has given presentations about her book at local stores.

Erin is a contributing writer for Her View From Home, Motherly, and Motherzing magazine on the topics of motherhood, babies, parenting, the postpartum period, outdoor adventures, and self-care. Prior to publishing her first book, Erin had a successful career in transactional health care law where she spent over twelve years researching, analyzing, and writing about a variety of legal issues affecting health care facilities. She also coaches middle school cross country and track & field.

Erin graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University and received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
