About Roberto Martinez

I'm passionate about helping businesses grow and succeed in the digital age, and I've run over 500 marketing and entrepreneurial workshops since 2017. I run Braven Agency, a digital marketing agency, and SMRTS, a business intelligence AI software company.

I am also Google’s California Coach, teaching small businesses how to leverage Google technology to scale. In 2020, I was appointed by the Mayor of Los Angeles as the City's Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR), where I created and launched LA Optimized, an SMB program designed to digitize businesses to sell online during and post-pandemic. In January of 2024, I launched Braven Creative Studios AI, an AI creative solution that has run AI training for Google, USC, and Amazon after securing certification from Google AI and ChatGPT. In 2024, I was selected by LA Times B2B Magazine as a DEIA Awardee.

I have collaborated with prominent organizations such as Google, Facebook, and Amazon and academic institutions including Stanford, UCLA, and USC. My expertise extends beyond the corporate sector, as I have actively engaged with governments, cities, and nonprofit entities to bridge the digital divide through programming including Delete the Divide, LA Optimized, and Digital Communities Program.

Additionally, I'm a visiting professor at CSULB School of Business, where I teaches digital marketing and social media analytics. Before entering the entrepreneurial space, I worked for Janssen Pharmaceuticals, the Canadian Foreign Service, and the U.S. State Department. I am driven by my passion for helping others and making a positive impact on the world by raising funds for immigrant communities in Latin America.
