My story isn’t easy, but it’s real.
I was adopted and grew up feeling like I never really fit anywhere. School didn’t seem to have a place for me either—I graduated 146 out of 147 in my class. No future, no direction.
The military gave me purpose. I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as an infantryman, eventually finding myself at the Pentagon on 9/11, responding to the devastation firsthand. I witnessed the aftermath, helped recover those lost, and saw just how fragile life really is. That moment changed me, but the biggest battle I’d fight wasn’t overseas—it was within.
I deployed to Iraq, came home, and tried to adjust. I became a firefighter, but I struggled to find my footing. My first civilian job after the Army was selling gym memberships—I got fired. From there, my life unraveled. Evicted. Homeless. Struggling to get by. Then, personal loss hit hard. My mother passed away. My brother took his own life. I felt like everything was collapsing.
I had two choices—stay stuck or start fighting back.
I used fitness and martial arts to rebuild. Every workout, every challenge became a step forward. I refused to let my circumstances define me. That process led me to create Soldierfit, a nationally recognized fitness brand that helps others reclaim their strength. I founded Platoon 22, raising over $1 million to open The Platoon Veterans Service Center at Goodwill, providing real support for veterans. And I launched The Herd, a coaching movement that helps men build discipline, take ownership, and dominate in Body, Being, Balance, and Business.
I don’t speak from theory—I teach from experience. I know what rock bottom looks like, and I know what it takes to climb out. My mission is simple: help others stop making excuses, take control, and build the life they were meant to live.
