Christian S. Monsalve, M.D. is the founder of Verigrate Health and a board-certified psychiatrist serving patients across the United States. He completed his residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center and earned his M.D. from Rutgers University and B.A. in Philosophy from Fordham University. Dr. Monsalve’s work spans clinical care, research, and public engagement. He has published in the American Journal of Psychotherapy, the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Molecular Cancer Research, with additional contributions to El Diario NY and ABC News. His research has been presented internationally, and he received the Best Oral Presentation Prize at the 26th World Congress of IACAPAP in Brazil. He currently serves on the International Scientific Advisory Board of its 27th World Congress in Germany. He is the recipient of fellowships from the American Psychiatric Association and the American Psychoanalytic Association, as well as the Austen Riggs Award for Excellence in Psychotherapy, and serves as a consultant physician to the ABC News Medical Unit. His work focuses on the underlying drivers of mental illness, with particular interest in addiction, root-cause approaches, and the integration of biological, psychological, and social dimensions of care. He also helps patients thoughtfully and safely reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications when appropriate. Through Verigrate Health, he provides deeply personalized, evidence-based care oriented toward the restoration of health. Fluent in Spanish, he serves patients across the United States.
