About Sushant Dhakal

I'm currently rocking the title of Director of Software Engineering at the incredible Expedia Group, the big player in the travel industry. Picture me at the helm, leading a talented bunch of software engineers, engineering managers, and other technical teams. But hey, before my Expedia days, I was kickin' it as a software development manager over at Amazon within Amazon Web Services.

Now, here's the scoop—I'm all about building meaningful connections with up-and-coming tech enthusiasts and students. Plus, I've got a burning desire to mentor and empower aspiring women in technology because, let's face it, there's still a lot of work to do in that space. That's when I stumbled upon Pitch Podcasts portal and thought, "Bingo! This is my chance to channel my tech passion, break down complex concepts with finesse, and dish out some seriously awesome leadership advice to help young techies level up their careers." Oh, and did I mention I've got previous mentoring experience? Yup, I served as a "technology mentor" teaching computer science to high school students in Clear Lake, Iowa through the super cool HyperStream program, run by none other than the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council.

But hold on, I'm not just a tech nerd. I've got another trick up my sleeve—I've been teaching taekwondo for a solid decade now. Talk about unleashing my inner martial arts maestro!

So, let's cut to the chase. Give me the lowdown on the best ways for us to connect, and we'll kickstart this podcast extravaganza to share my experience.
