Chad Silverstein doesn’t just talk about growth—he lives it. As the founder and CEO of multiple companies, including Choice Recovery, [re]start, and Platform Partners, Chad has consistently turned challenges into opportunities, scaling businesses and driving innovation.
In 1997, during his senior year at Ohio State, Chad founded Choice Recovery, a third-party collection agency. Under his leadership, the company served over 10,000 clients nationwide and employed up to 100 people. For over a decade, Choice Recovery was recognized as a "Best Place to Work," twice ranking #1 in Ohio.
In 2013, Chad launched [re]start, a career development platform helping individuals in collections find meaningful employment. What began as a mission to change perceptions of the collections industry evolved into a multi-user app offering services to other companies. [re]start assisted thousands in securing jobs and received honors such as Business First's Outstanding Innovation Award and the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics.
Chad founded Platform Partners in 2019 to tackle inefficiencies in technology, onboarding, and employee training. Through investments in Playbook, an online LMS platform, he helped companies create team playbooks to enhance productivity and cohesion.
After selling Choice Recovery in 2022 and a majority stake in [re]start in 2023, Chad turned his focus to leadership development. As a lead journalist for Authority Magazine, he interviewed top executives and partnered with their Thought Leader Incubator program.
Simultaneously, Chad transitioned from client to Builder in his 15-year journey with Built to Lead. In 2024, he launched an online community offering leadership resources and programs, embodying the ethos: "Together we transform."
