I'm Joy Green; a mother, wife, daughter, sister, caregiver; a transformational guide, TED transformational speaker, trauma-informed wellness practitioner, and the founder of The Joy I’ve Found. My work was born, not out of theory, but from lived experience and deep healing.
As a survivor of childhood abuse, depression, addiction, and profound loss-turned healer, I searched outside myself for over 25 years for relief, until I discovered what ultimately changed everything: meditation, yogic science, Ayurveda, and nervous-system regulation. Through these practices, I didn’t just heal, I reclaimed my voice, my peace, and my joy. That journey became the foundation of my life’s work and the legacy I will leave.
Today, I am a Chopra Center–trained Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor, a global meditation leader, and a 5x international bestselling author. Through my signature Free Your Mind Through Joy™ method, I guide individuals, families, educators, and communities to transform trauma into resilience, self-trust, and embodied well-being.
The Joy I’ve Found is more than a business; it is a sanctuary and a movement that was born from my own need to heal, feel safe and supported. At its core is a simple truth: we can no longer expect parents and caregivers to support children’s emotional needs if we are not supporting them themselves. My work centers parents, early-childhood educators, and caregivers who are carrying invisible burdens, often without the tools, community, or support they deserve.
In addition to my work as an educator and practitioner, I have partnered with organizations like, CASA OC for youth in foster care, and Fulfillment Fund LA, as a mentor and advocate, supporting youth as they navigate education, identity, and possibility. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of healing, education, and systems change to help people move from survivor to thriver, and into self-leadership.
Everything I do is rooted in compassion, science-backed practice, and lived wisdom. I believe "joy is not something we chase, it is something we remember". And when individuals heal, families shift. When families shift, systems change. This is the work of The Joy I’ve Found, and it is the work of my life.
