David Hampton has lived in the Greater Nashville, TN area since 1988 where he enjoyed two staff songwriting deals with major Nashville publishing labels as well as touring the globe with various music artists as a professional musician. He eventually served in the position of Director of Worship Arts at Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN, a position he held for nearly two decades.
David began his own journey into sobriety in June of 2005, which eventually led him to pursue his certification as a credentialed Certified Professional Addiction/Recovery Coach (CPRC) and is now in private practice in Greater Nashville.
David is also a public speaker (available through ambassadorspeakers.com) and the author of two books, Our Authentic Selves: Reflections On What We Believe and What We Wish We Believed (Lighthouse Publishing), and his most recent book, After the Miracle: Illusions Along the Path to Restoration (Morgan James/New York).
David is co-host of the weekly Positive Sobriety Podcast available on iTunes and Spotify. He is also a frequent blogger, guest, and contributor for various podcasts and addiction recovery publications and websites.
David makes his home in the historic downtown Franklin, TN area.
