Mike Elam is a former Benton County, Arkansas Sheriff's Deputy turned author who conducted his own cold case investigation into the death of Pauline Pusser, the wife of of McNairy County Tennessee Sheriff Buford Pusser who was made famous in the WALKING TALL movie franchise.
Elam found a great deal of information and witnesses that were missed in the original 1967 investigation into Mrs. Pauline Pusser murder in an alleged ambush meant to take the life of Sheriff Pusser. Elam shared this information with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) which resulted in the exhumation of Mrs. Pusser.
Elam has authored a book, BUFORD PUSSER: The Other Story (available at Amazon.com) and is currently working on a second book primarily about the alleged ambush.
