About Isabella

I knew I was on this planet to write since I was eight. I remember picking up that pencil and writing my story, immediately knowing that my purpose on this planet was to write. I started writing poetry when I was 14 and have since become and Los Angeles Youth Poet Ambassador and California Arts Scholar for creative writing. However, I also started going to serious therapy when I was 14. In the following years of my life, I would end up in psychiatric hospitals and mental health residentials for severe mental health disorders such as anorexia nervosa and major depressive disorder. Despite these obstacles, I learned to love life and connected myself with my life purpose of writing to heal. Now at 18, I am working on publishing my first poetry book and continuing to build my platform. I am managing my symptoms and my recovery beautifully. I am living the life I dreamt of living when I was a little girl-a life as a writer.
