About Kristina schelhaas

I enjoy writing true stories that have happened to me and throughout my nursing career, I have begun collecting my experiences and making them readable. The point of my books is to make the readers understand what a nurse experiences, what a nurse sees in people and how many different areas we can practice in and still have hope for humanity. I graduated from a local university in Thunder Bay, ON. I had grown up as a child with cancer and knew I wanted to be working in healthcare since I was so familiar with it. I loved working with the dying and terminally I’ll patients of hospice, the people with complex medical needs on a rehab floor and the elderly in long term care. My absolute favourite type of nursing is working with inmates in a jail. I am married to my high school sweetheart, John, who I also work with at the jail. He is a correctional officer. I have three children. We love the outdoors and we have a YouTube channel all about our family fishing adventures. I love my pets, Kiki, Pete and pickles .
