I’m a cat mom CEO on a journey to create spaces and opportunities for underrepresented communities. I've been making a splash in media and communications for 15 years now and developed a passion so deep for DEI content creation that only my passion for black winged eyeliner can rival it.

And though my eyeliner application methods have not changed in the past 18 years, language is constantly changing and evolving to represent our evolving communities. As an Editorial Director, Disability & Accessibility Consultant, Researcher, Content Queen, and DE&I Language Inclusion Specialist, I use my academic, professional, lived experience, and research to better understand language’s impact on society and communities. My focus includes disability language inclusion and Middle East and North Africa language inclusion.

I lead with empathy and the determination of Simba running across the desert to reclaim the Pride Lands… I might lead with a bit of humor from time to time too. I believe team leadership that encourages kindness, communication, and joy opens the door for foundational team building. With this foundation, we can build practical, soft, and hard skills in a safe setting that secures individual and group development.

I live for making creative, engaging, meaningful, and accessible content. And if my physical therapist wouldn’t yell at me for trying, I’d probably bend over backward for the chance to plan and build out an editorial strategy process. Being neurodivergent, I’m prone to asking the question, “Why?” Which makes content strategy and user research a particularly mind-fulfilling category of projects because I want the conclusion to have great and efficient intent.

I work closely with DEI experts, thought leaders, and content creators from different communities and those who have knowledge in various fields. I always want to learn from everyone’s unique experiences and specialties. And I’m always taking notes. I believe diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, justice, and belonging are societal team efforts, and I always want to guide people to the best source of knowledge. So, I welcome you to connect, send me a message, and share your experience with me.
