Welcome to Hell Cast is a podcast hosted by a dynamic two-person team dedicated to unraveling the enigma of Hell in Christian theology. With a bold, multidisciplinary approach, we explore Hell’s theological, psychological, cultural, and artistic dimensions, inviting listeners to join us on a journey through faith, doubt, and the human psyche. Our lead interviewer, armed with a background in journalism and psychology, brings sharp insight and empathetic curiosity to every conversation, fostering deep, meaningful dialogues. Currently, our team is preparing a book on the history of Hell, drawing from over 50 interviews with ex-Christians, theologians, psychologists, and cultural scholars. Whether you’re a Jungian analyst, an ex-Christian with a story to share, an artist inspired by the infernal, or a scholar of spooky phenomena, we’d love to feature your perspective on our show!

Our Mission
We aim to understand and articulate Hell’s role in Christian theology, particularly why it drives some to leave the faith.

Our conversations delve into:
Psychology: We’re fascinated by the psyche, especially Carl Jung’s archetypes, the collective unconscious, and how Hell shapes our fears and dreams.

Christianity: From traditionalism to universalism, we explore Hell’s theological evolution, drawing on biblical texts like Sheol, Gehenna, and Hades, and thinkers like Augustine, Aquinas, and C.S. Lewis.

Spooky Stuff: We embrace the eerie—near-death experiences, demonic imagery, and supernatural narratives that haunt our cultural imagination.

Art: Hell has inspired masterpieces from Dante to Milton to modern horror. We love discussing how artists visualize the infernal.
