Recently, Tariq made headlines after writing an op-ed for USA Today on the reality of Wall Street’s greenwashing of sustainable/ESG investing. Since then, the topic has exploded and he has done articles featured on CNBC News, The Guardian, Globe & Mail, Bloomberg, The Economist and others.

Although many suspected greenwashing had been going on, Tariq is the first high-level insider to confirm the practice and talk about what he heard and saw as well as its’s practice across the board in the financial industry.

Tariq left his career at BlackRock to focus on Rumie, a non-profit tech startup that offers a different approach to education. Our platform uses social media mechanics to make learning more enticing.
