About Berk Yilmaz

I’m Berk Yılmaz, CTO and co-founder of Noah Labs, where we are building Sentinel, an offline / air-gapped agentic AI IDE for regulated and high-security industries. I’m a Columbia University graduate, completed a dual-degree engineering program between Istanbul Technical University and New Jersey Institute of Technology, and my background includes NASA L’SPACE, where I worked on a lunar/planetary rover concept as an electronics/computer engineering lead. That experience shaped how I think about software in high-stakes environments: speed matters, but reliability, verification, security, documentation, and trust matter just as much. At Noah Labs, my work focuses on bringing AI-native software development into environments where cloud-based AI coding tools cannot be used. Sentinel helps secure teams understand legacy codebases, map dependencies, generate tests, support refactoring, improve documentation, and create more auditable engineering workflows. I can speak about AI developer tools, agentic IDEs, cybersecurity, offline/air-gapped AI, legacy code modernization, regulated software engineering, and building AI products for mission-critical environments.
