Kenny Watt is a Scottish indie author and stand-up comedian who’s spent most of his life finding humour in the strange, the everyday, and the downright ridiculous. He’s been on five TV game shows — Dirty Rotten Cheater, Impossible, I Can See Your Voice, Moneybags, and Celebrity Inner Circle — somehow managing to win three of them and accidentally sing in front of six million people along the way.
Before turning his attention to fiction, Kenny ran a much-loved pub quiz in Edinburgh for ten years, keeping locals arguing over music rounds and bonus points. When lockdown hit, he took the show online, drawing a global audience and even being featured by the BBC for keeping the quiz spirit alive.
On stage, Kenny’s known for his sharp wit, easy charm, and the kind of warm, self-aware humour that gets a whole room laughing — whether he’s performing at The Stand, MCing chaotic comedy nights, or trading banter with an audience that’s had one pint too many.
His debut novel, a Scottish urban fantasy, carries that same mix of humour and heart — a darkly funny story where modern life overlaps with the world of the Fae. Think haunted tour guides, ancient myths, and the raw, modern voice of Scotland threading through it all.
Kenny’s stories — on stage or on the page — always come back to the same thing: people, laughter, and the odd bit of magic hiding in plain sight.
