I managed several #1 ranked funds during my career as a money manager, the most recent winning a Lipper Award for being the top-performing global equity fund in Canada in 2010.

My investment approach has evolved from being a pure value investor at the start of my career to adopting a primarily global macro perspective today. My style has evolved in response to changes in the investment landscape and can be best described as a pragmatic blend of fundamental, technical and economic factors. As a student of history, I also incorporate historical precedent and geopolitical influences in my decision-making process.

The Global Investment Letter is a rapidly growing monthly publication that covers major global equity, fixed-income, currency and commodity markets. Each issue includes my views on the broad investment scene and major markets, as well as investment positions and trading strategy.

The strong results I posted as a money manager has continued with the Global Investment Letter, with a notable success being the early recognition of the threat posed by the Coronavirus in the February 2020 issue and the recommendation to sell equities in the March 4th, 2020 issue (both issues are included among the sample issues available on the website).
