About Davyn Horton

Davyn Horton is an 19-year old singer/songwriter, based out of the state of Texas. Their work is based in the pop and singer/songwriter music categories. They have been writing their own songs since the summer of 2020.

Growing up in a family in which no one else was as into music and songwriting as they were, Davyn has been attempting to craft their own path and destiny in the songwriting world. This has included listening and getting inspired by works of very accomplished singers and songwriters, including the likes of Dove Cameron, Olivia Rodrigo, Zendaya, Sofia Wylie, Taylor Swift, among countless others. Another way they got their hands into the songwriting world is by performing some original songs at the virtual Coffeehouse Student Performances events, hosted by the place they called home for high school, Laurel Springs School. One of those original songs performed live, Home (it was performed at the January 2022 edition of the event), along with Davyn as the songwriter, were featured in a Laurel Springs School Student Spotlights blog, which details some of the writing process that went into the development of this specific song.

Some of the songs Davyn considers their best works include the aforementioned Home, Ashes Scattered, My New World, and Earn A Legacy.

The most notable upcoming music release that Davyn has is a LGBTQ+ & non-binary-themed album, set for release in June of 2023.
