Lee Schneider is the author of screenplays, teleplays, stage plays, short stories, and audio drama podcasts.
He is the author of the Utopia Engine science fiction trilogy. The books, titled Surrender, Resist, and Liberation, span the years from 2050-2026 and take place in a future where climate, education, banking, travel and culture are controlled by a central AI that collects the memories of citizens and sells them to marketers. The plot of all three books covers the work of the Resistance to overthrow the AI overlord.
Lee’s thirty-year career in media includes podcast production, documentaries and series television with the History Channel, Discovery, Court TV, Food Network, Travel Channel, TLC, Dateline NBC and Good Morning America.
He is the creator and lead facilitator of the Storyline Sessions, a masterclass in storytelling, and an adjunct assistant professor USC who teaches a course about online media. He lives in Santa Monica, CA with his family.
