I have one goal – to talk about my family's story in my debut book "Eternally Rose".

LONG ISLAND, NY – 1946 – The true story of my dad – Johnny Mastantuono (local war hero) – and his high school sweetheart – Rose DeFabrizio. The young couple were all set to be married upon my dad's return from the war. However, fate delivered a devastating blow, when Rose was suddenly struck down on their wedding day – as she walked to the alter. This is the story of how I dig up the past to solve the mystery of the woman my father intended to marry instead of my mother.

I have been in show business for over forty years as an actor, musician and producer. Some of my notable projects include bringing the highly acclaimed Off-Broadway show "Squonk" to the Helen Hayes Theater in NYC, and penning the Billboard Number One Dance Chart hit "Bring Your Love Back" (1985). As an actor, some of my credits include The Legend of Billy Jack, Amongst Friends, Prizzi’s Honor, as well as various roles in short films, television pilots and documentaries.

"Eternally Rose" is my passion project. It has been a twenty-five year labor of love. Apromise, made to my terminally ill mother as she lay in a hospital bed during her final hours of life.
