Jon Edgar Love Jr.

I suffer from depression for over 50 years.

: My name is Jon and i suffer from depression. Now with that out the way. I come from two pretty affluent families the Loves; my grandfather on my father's side of the family was Bishop Edgar A. Love; one of the four founders of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc in 1911. Yet on my mother's side of my family my great grandfather founded the second oldest black newspaper in the United States in1892. throughout my life i have been subjected to things most men would have crumbled had they have gone thru some of the things i have gone thru. I have suffered with depression for over 50 years but yet I'm only 61. I watch so many rich affluent members in society take their lives and think how am i still here. God first and secondly i come from two extremely strong families that were trailblazers in their own right and i believe it's in my DNA. I am a Taurus and as a bull am strong willed and solid. But deep down i feel disconnected because of my past. I always felt that no one cared. There are people in my family i have not talked to in over 40 years because of injustices done to me as a child growing up. No sexual things but traumatic mental and psychological things that have kept me in a room that i can't seem to leave. This is my first step to coming out of this room. It's too dark and i am ready to finally see the light.
