Hi, I'm Joe West, and I'm the author of STRANGE FLE$H, the story of Freddie Bickel who is in love with two women at the same time. One wants to marry him, the other wants to kill him. But no matter what, Freddie knows God is winking at him.

Strange Fle$h is a loose retelling of the story involving Abraham, Sarah, and their handmaiden Haggar from Genesis. Although there are no angels performing divine interventions in this story, there are plenty of modern-day miracles that will get the attention of readers, especially men, as the work explores themes surrounding modern poverty, loneliness, and corruption that destroy the working poor and seem to continually repeat from generation to generation.

Although I have had novels previously published as Joe Schwartz, I assumed the pen name Joe West for this novel in honor of my friend Thom West who died suddenly just before I began to write this book. Thom and I were going to be a team. I'd write the stories, and he would be the narrator for the audio versions. Such is life. At least this way, Thom and I can still continue on this journey together.
