About Perry Smith

Perry Smith is a Catholic author, speaker, and founder of the Institute for Catholic Family Formation. He holds an M.A. in Philosophy and a B.A. in Theology with extensive formation in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas. Perry founded the Institute (formerly Catholic Parenting Press) to give Catholic parents practical wisdom and formation for building the domestic church. The Institute provides talks, retreats, parish missions, and resources ordered toward real transformation in family life. He is the author of Spiritual Parenting, which presents a Catholic vision of parenthood rooted in virtue, prayer, and the domestic church. The book covers the purpose of parenthood, virtue formation, meditation, the parent as spiritual director, leisure, and the healing of wounds that hinder family life. It is faithful but usable — written with clarity, confidence, and spiritual structure. Perry speaks at parishes, schools, retreats, and diocesan events nationwide. His talks give parents practical tools grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition. The renewal of the Church begins in the home. He lives in Northeast Ohio and is actively involved in the Catholic community of the Cleveland and Lakewood area.
