I decided to give up living in Asia Pacific beach huts during my third week in a Goa hospital. As people died all around it occurred to me, Australia is probably the place to be. Since this revelation, I have been driving around Australia in a van sleeping next to a different beach every night. At six feet six inches, sleeping in a van is like playing a trombone in a telephone kiosk but I wouldn’t have it any other way. 'Suburbs are for suckers'. By way of overcoming the shame of dyslexia, I decided to pick up a laptop and start writing. What started as therapy has now turned into three published books and a ton of unpublished screenplays, short stories and general nonsense.
