Tom Connolly has lived and worked in the US, the Czech Republic, and Saudi Arabia. He has died on stage with Sir Ian McKellan and Kevin Spacey once sat next to him in a darkened room and behaved himself. He's written three books of cultural history: "Genus Envy: Nationalities, Identities and the Performing Body of Work", "George Jean Nathan and the Making of Modern American Drama Criticism", and "British Aisles: Studies in English and Irish Drama and Theatre from Medieval through Modern Times." His plays, “Two Women Off Color” and “Little Innocence” have been performed in Europe and the United States. He has been a consultant and commentator for national and international media. A former Fulbright Senior Scholar, Dr. Connolly is the recipient of the Parliamentary Medal of the Czech Republic. He has just completed a book, Goodbye Good Ol’ USA. What America Lost in World War II: The Movies, The Home Front, and Postwar Culture for Houghton Mifflin/PMU Press.
