About Mary Klene

Hi! My name is Mary, and I am a senior in high school from Dayton, Ohio! Over the past few years, I have had the privilege to work with Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, my school's environmental club, Tree Plenish and the Teen Eco Summit. When not focusing on academic activities, I enjoy my role in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Conservation Teen Advisory Council, and the Climate Leader Fellowship. Recently, I participated in Global Peace's Biodiversity Forum, as well as the Conservation Conversation podcast. At the age of 16, I became the youngest Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist. In my free time I enjoy writing and beekeeping. One of my favorite reasons for participating in these activities is I am able to take the power of change and give it to others.
