Currently, around 95% of new parents don't get the recommended number of hours sleep, and for around 56% this continues for at least 6 years! We are on a mission to change that, we want sleep to be the new normal for parents everywhere.
Since setting up our business in 2021 we have worked with hundreds of families with children aged 0-8 years, something they all have in common is that they all wish they had sleep trained sooner. But the reality is there is an expectation that sacrificing sleep is just part and parcel of parenthood...well it is not, just as menopause was misunderstood for so many years, lack of adequate sleep is something that is negatively impacting a huge portion of our society, but it simply isn't talked about.
There are misconceptions galore around the methods involved (we don't do 'crying it out'), sleep regressions, how much sleep a baby/child needs and when....we could go on. But the simple fact is, sleep is a necessity, it is the foundation of all wellbeing for adults and children, and we all have the systems built-in that enable us to sleep well, we just need to understand the science behind it. Which is where we come in.
Emma is the expert in this field, originally from a teaching background, with experience in child therapy and family support services she became a certified sleep consultant during lockdown and has been helping families sleep ever since.
Rebekah is from a marketing background and leads the business in all other areas, together they host presentations, workshops and create content that informs and engages, drawing on their own personal parenting anecdotes and experiences so deliver their message in a entertaining, informative and approachable way.
