About Adam Outerbridge

I am a 22 year old, dyspraxic author based in the UK. I have grown up in a very cultural and historically rich area of the UK which helped to contribute towards the historical and creative interests from quite a young age.

Alongside a lot of other people with dyspraxia, I was also diagnosed with hypermobility quite early on which led to a lot of physical challenges throughout my childhood. I have always tried to make the effort of leaning into my strengths that the dyspraxia can benefit in some ways whilst still being aware and advocating for the awareness from others of my weaknesses.

Alongside my works as an author, I am also on youtube and twitch, plus I do volunteering at a local charity in my spare time. Some things that aided in my perspectives of neurodiversity was studying philosophy and ethics as well as health and social care.

Whilst it is not as constant content as I would like, I also do my own podcast focused on young and/or indie creators as a place where they can give their own opinions on aspects of creativity, the working world or the world as a whole - I have already had a few different neurodivergent guests.

Furthermore, recently I released a new, small digital work that talks about the positive ways that dyspraxia played a role in my journey to becoming a young creator and why it is important to raise awareness of the positives and strengths of neurodiversity as a whole.
