About Rebecca Mabbett

Hello, I’m Rebecca Mabbett, a 20 year old from Southampton. Since I was a young girl, my dream has always been to create and run my own business.

I am so proud that I have finally got to the stage at such a young age. The app, R Reflections launched on 1st September, and it is based around fashion, retail and customer online shopping experiences.

R Reflections is a virtual clothes fitting room app that gives users personalisation to enable individuals to identify if clothes suit them, their body shape and skin tone. Users are able to upload pictures of clothing that they like, from their photo library, or their phone camera, to see what it virtually looks like on them. The result is that individuals will be able to see what the clothes look like on them, before buying the items of clothing.

R Reflections benefits the user by giving them:
• Higher % success rate of your choice of clothing on 1st receipt of clothes
• Increased customer satisfaction
• Complete personalisation
• Virtual reality viewing
• Tailors the service to you
• Increased personal satisfaction
• Easy online shopping experience

R Reflections, will also benefit the environment by:
• CO2 reduction
• Reduced plastic packaging for unwanted goods
• Minimise production waste at suppliers
• Less postal cost for retailers
• Fewer returned items

R Reflections benefits the retailers by:
• Reducing returns
• Right 1st time pick chance increased
• Increased customer satisfaction
• Reduced outlay of product stock
• Reduction of stock turns

“It’s all about you!”
GET THE APP, BE THE MODEL
My idea places the clothes on the end user and their different body features not on a model. This is because everyone is diverse and different and no-body is exactly the same size, shape and skin colour. As customers look to buy clothes online, different styles and types of clothing suits different people, therefore when the clothes are modelled there is a high chance that they look different on the model to the end user.
