About Neil Thomas DeSiato

Two questions have profoundly shaped Pastor Neil Thomas DeSiato's life. First, at 19, he asked God, 'God, is Jesus Christ your Son?' In a display of mercy, God answered this question overnight, transforming Neil's life and sparking his spiritual journey into faith in Jesus Christ. The second question focused on the church's mission of making disciples. Neil began by asking, 'How do you make a disciple?' How is spiritual formation developed in the lives of people who follow Christ? The answer did not come through reading books or from any particular person. Instead, a universal and transferable understanding emerged from 2 Peter 1:1-17. Optimal Discipleship is Pastor Neil DeSiato’s journey of discovering how Christ was and is uniquely discipling him and how Christ uniquely and personally disciples all God's children. From this discovery of the Apostle Peter’s path to spiritual formation, Pastor Neil Thomas DeSiato published Optimal Discipleship: Discovering How Christ Has Been Discipling You! in July 2026. Alongside his first book, Pastor DeSiato also founded Finishing Strong Discipleship Ministry, an outreach that has impacted churches of all denominations in Northeast Tennessee over the last several years. Currently, Neil and his wife, Eunice, are publishing a children's book through Christian Faith Publishers titled Thomas's Magnificent Tree...It's a Story about You and Me! It will be released in late 2026 or early 2027.
