I am a New Jersey mom of two children, a daughter a 21-year-old college student, and a 4 1/2-year-old son. I'm a licensed real estate agent, and also am passionate about servicing my community by advocating for survivors of domestic violence. I'm also an Ambassador for United Way ALICE, and am using my platform to share my story of raising my two children, while building my real estate business, in a community where the high cost of living, and rise of inflation have led to many challenges for me as a working mom.
I work three jobs, my real estate business, a part-time 30-hour-week accounting job, and recently started Instacart to make extra cash. Still, I find myself living check-to-check, and sacrificing time with my children to juggle it all as a working ALICE parent and rise above the daily challenges I make. There are so many other families out there like me, and I want the platform to share my story, and be the voice that encourages others to talk about this.
Here's a Podcast interview I participated in back in June of this current year, discussing the rising cost of living, and how the economy is just not keeping up. And how United Way ALICE is working to change all this.
